You are certainly not alone in your experience, and by coming here you have acknowledged that you want to change, without that step nothing changes, so well done.
This is such a supportive and friendly place you will soon make many friends who understand how you arrived here and who will cheer your successes.
Have you given any thought to what you would like to achieve and what tools you will use to help you?

:welcome: must, on the first big step towards recovery.
Folks here have been where you are and is the reason we are here now. Whatever stage we happen to be in during the recovery process. Days, weeks, months, or years.
Take the time to read and post a lot as it will help you understand just what you are up against.

Hey Mustdothis,
You have found the best place for support and understanding with regard to alcohol problems. Many here (including me) have a big problem with wine, it seems. But whatever the type of drink, it's still alcohol and still a torturous problem for so many.
If you stick around here and do a lot of reading and post when you can, you will see what I mean. It's good to have you here. Welcome! When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

Hi musdothis,
Good name! You can do this, we're all here to help you
Wine was my poison of choice too!
Have you read the MWO book yet? You can download it from the Health store right here on the site. I highly recommend using the Hypno therapy CDs too. They are very effective in clearing the clutter of of your head & getting you to relax so you can learn new things. Take a look in the Tool box (located in the Monthly Abstinence thread) for good ideas to help you make your plan.
Please feel free to join us on the 'Newbies Nest' thread too. Theres lots of folks there just beginning as well
Wishing you the very best!
