    update day 2

Well, the day is almost over and I dropped off my daughter at Grandma's so I could get my running done. I had lunch with a friend from work, went to walmart and got my daughter's pictures and shopped, then off to the hairdresser! THEN I stopped at the Zumba class place to get a schedule but they weren't open, so I went to the Y (where I have a membership and have never gone AND they have Zumba classes, which I have been wanting to try, but am usually to busy drinking...) anyway, the Y...got their class schedule. Then off to pay the insurance bill, then to the bank, to Piggly Wiggly, to US Cell to get my hubby on my plan, to Aldis, made the vet appt....yeh, you get the point. I also went to Jazzercise and talked to them and got 2 free class passes. So, the best part is yet to come...dont worry, my rant wont last to long...So, my TRIGGER, my Mother, comes over tonight for 'happy hour'. She had a couple drinks. I DID NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I told her that Sunday at 4 we are going to do a free Jazzercise class. We both want to lose some weight and that might just be fun once we get over the initial shock of not having exercised in so long! And, something to do besides drink. And, I got the AA schedule for the entire city. So, I got schedules for exercise and AA...next step is to GO. lol

On another note...I'm pretty short tempered tonight. Even my mom said "What is wrong with you tonight"....I'm assuming this is normal??

Thanks for letting me rant. I'm glad I got out of bed even though I didnt want to. Maybe tomorrow I will attempt the Y....Oh, and when I dont drink, I dont smoke hardly at all, so today is 2 full days of not smoking either. Although this cold I have probably has something to do with that.

So, speaking of the health benefits of this....my husband, who's finally speaking to me today, told me that a friend of our's sister just died at 43...because she had gastric bypass surgery several years ago and continued to drink, so because of the complications of the gastric bypass and alcohol consumption. I had GB 6 years ago. Scary.

That is really scary! Why do we want to hurt our bodies? I am one day sober, It's hard for me too, but please hang in there and keep your eye on the goal and the reason.
