      Now it's real...

JS: You are so not alone! I wish I had time to write more but stop beating yourself up. There are probably hundreds of other people at your church going through the same as you on Sunday mornings. We all tend to feel like losers not being able to control bad habits in our lives. We are not, YOU are NOT a loser. And you are not alone. Try real hard to just cut back. What helped me is starting later in the evening. Even though at 5pm I really want one, I tell myself "You can still drink tonight, just wait til 7 and you'll be happy you did". Then I start at 7, bedtimes around 9 so I have to stop by then (get the boys to bed and me if I'm going to be able to get up at 6:45). Anyway, I get my couple of drinks, then the evening is done and I wake up fine and refreshed the next day without having had to give up too much. For you, try waiting until 6 maybe. Then 7 the next night. Gradually cutting back will be easier I think and not as difficult as stopping cold turkey.

      Good luck and take care!
