    Penelope Pit Stop

    Hi I'm new. Have ordered RJ's book. Really want to get started. Have spent 30 years drinking. It's time to do something about my drinking. Know one would even suspect that I have an alcohol addiction, but whoa, I do. I've just had a wasted day being hungover.
    I'm a competent person. I do not want to ruin the next 30 years of my life. Im ready to start.

    PPS congrats for taking the first steps of joining here and ordering the book. This is a wonderful place for support and information. Read around, post and ask questions when you need to. Finding a daily thread that suits you often helps to settle in and get to know people. Wishing you well in your journey.

              Hello Penelope welcome to a great place and a fantastic bunch of people from all walks of life who all share this same baffling problem. Well done on taking the first important step in coming here. BTW I love your choice of name, loved the wackey races when I was a kid.

                    I also drank for over 30 years (36 to be exact). I am now on day 85, and have not felt this good in a very long time. This is just to let you know it can be done, something I wasn't sure of at all when I came to MWO. All the great support, information, and stories have made a huge difference in my life. You will never regret it!

                      Hi PPS, I have been drinking for over 30 years as well. Just joined last week. I ordered the book and supplements. Kind of felt like a little kid at Christmas - just couldn't wait for them to get here. Dancelot, your story is great. It's the kind of stuff I need to hear right now. Take care!

                        Thank you to EVERYONE for recognizing me. I have not been AF yet. It's great to have support so soon. I'm waiting on the book as my key to start. Shud I just try and start anyway? Thats scary. I know I will need every thing that is available, to help me get alcohol free. I am learning to visualize myself without Alcohol. The vis only lasts 3 to 5 seconds, but hey thats better than yesterday! Couldn't visualize at all. I'm exited about this journey. PPS

                          I hope you get this. I'm really confused getting around. My book hasn't arrived as yet, I expect it will be another 7 days. Just in time to read before my Dr appt. I'm working on my head space. Jeez the mind has some nasty little things lurking in it!! Haven't been AF yet, but am managing to hold back. I'm sure that is from the support of the MWO forums and ppl
