              Hello,

I am new here and i so want to control my drinking. Wine is my choice, I have started cutting back, but not enough. i really need this support, just can't do it on my own. Good luck to all.

                Hi All,

Today is my first day sober. The most difficult was the 6P.M. hour. Hopefully i am on my way.
Thanks for in inspirations. I am still trying to learn this system. Please wish me luck.

Well I'm just starting out on this road. I haven't done newsgroups, forums or things like that before so Just trying to learn some things. I find that I often feel like an outsider in the alcohol community as I don't drink as much as some nor is alcohol causing my life to totally melt down. But for me alcohol is a problem and is causing me to have many health issues and makes me feel guilty and a looser. My wife is rather unmoved by much and I have pretty much tried to keep hidden my addiction from her but drinking every night and to the point of passing out when I hit the bed unless I "doze off" in my chair is getting pretty obvious. I started taking Baclofen on the 31st of May and quit drinking on the 2nd of June. I hope I can hang on and stay away from alcohol this time as I have tried to quit many times before.

Being new to this all I won't feel too bad to have someone correct my mistakes, so If I'm messing up, feel free to let me know.

                              Hi Angie :welcome:

                              It's good to see you!

There are two good places to start here until you find your way around. Can you see a post by NoSugar either just above or below your post? If you click on the links at the bottom of her post you'll find the Newbies Nest and the Toolbox. The Newbies Nest is a good place to join in and talk, and the toolbox is a place with lots of tips and hints.

But feel free to join in with any of the other threads too.

Also, don't worry if sometimes it takes a while to get a reply, a lot of people here are in different time zones so you may have just caught a bit of a quiet time
