    Ok this is me..

Molly, I can relate to being sober these days around people who are drinking, and just being mortified at how *I* used to act.

Given the amount of time I spent drinking, I figure it is only natural that when I stopped, some of my friendships had to change. Such is the ebb and flow of life and relationships. Very few last forever. Most last for a season of our lives only. This is a time of change for me, and I cannot afford to cling to any relationships that would jeapardize my sobriety.

I too am hibernating trying to avoid situations where AL will be. Jolie - I used to have to have a glass in my hand when putting my face on just to loosen up so I could actually talk to someone when I went out. I always find it hard to make small talk. So AL helped me. I think the only way to solve this is to actually do it and learn as we go along. Or as someone says in their signature jump and build your wings on the way down (or words to that affect).
      Take care.
      I finally got it!
