Raised 5. I wish every day I could go back and do it over, without booze. My life had purpose then. It was the best and most rewarding thing I have done in my life. Seemed like a grind at the time. Wished I could just have a minute of peace to myself. Now, that they are all off on their own, I wish they we back home, underfoot. I miss the impossible schedule, the financial demands, the stress. Second day back to listen to all of you. I am a grandmother and I know how it feels when my 3 grandchidlren are here for a few hours but how well my darling daughter in law seems to manage them. I should be the last one to give advise but there are good parent effectiveness books out there and manybe they can be of help to you. God bless and may your hands be busy enough not to reach for that glass. I have been drinking since I was 18 and am now 61 so I know that the demons are in my head. But I will talk a bit later about me, I will think of you throughout the day and hope my thoughts along with all the other wonderful people here will energise you.
