Hi All,

I was reading thru old archives and realised i first started posting here as 'annie75' in 2006.
Since then i went from drinking a btl of wine every night to being constantly drunk/hungover.

I start antabuse 2moro.Have had 4af days so there should be no alcohol in my system.

I ended a five year relationship y'day with a man i loved but i realised he didn't love me.He stayed 'cause he worried about me.:upset:

2 love affairs HAVE to end in my life and i fear the future.:upset:

Will share more 2moro as it's 1.50am here in Ireland and i need to try to sleep to stop myself from crying anymore.

Hope you will share this journey with me.

feeling alot clearer headed today and managed to get through 3hrs worth of ironing!
took my antabuse and feel quite liberated right now....knowing that i possibly cannot drink really helps stave away the cravings..
yet,sat night without a glass in hand is really strang for me..
tomorrow is day 5.

Nice to see more Irish here! Seems to be an occupational hazard with us! Antabuse rocks, got me thro some really tricky moments the first week, have them by my bed now and the first whiff of temptation will whack one down my throat. Sorry about the man in your life but no point in dragging things on if you don't feel the same way, suppose its a whole new start for you, sort of liberating maybe. Anyway I'm probably waffling, good luck and well done day 5, first week really is the hardest I find

Thanks to everyone who posted....jc,you have no chance of missing me this time!I'll be hanging round like a clampit...! lol
Made it to day 6,not having any cravings so bad that i can't handle.
Antabuse is really helping me alot this time.
I woke this morning for the first monday in months without a hangover.
I actually smiled!!!
Anyway,won't natter on too much...

To all you long-timers out there...thank-you,i believe i can do this.....just like you!
