changing goals - what about the cds?
Well, I guess 3 years of repeated failures should be enough to make me realize that mod is probably not the path for me. So, now it seems like the cds with the messages of wanting to drink moderately are not what I should be listening to. Any thoughts on that? I don't want to spend another $118 right now...Tags: None

changing goals - what about the cds?
From reading the message boards it seems that there are quite a few who started with the desire to moderate but find it difficult in the long term. On the other hand there are some that can do it. It is so personal. I could NEVER moderate. The chemicals in my brain make me want to drink until all sorts of terrible things happen. If you have discovered that you cannot be successful moderating, good for you. Now you can focus on a plan for becoming AF. It is so worth it! Good luck!!

I'm definitely thinking you need to switch CD sets. I haven't heard the mods ones, but I can't imagine they are the same as the abstinence set.
Whenever I'm inclined to hold back on investing in my sobriety, I try to remember how much money I've wasted on drinking. And the toll drinking took on my life. $118 is nothing compared to the cost of AL (expensive) and the damage (priceless) of a single weekend with AL.
