Do you have any way of contacting members who used to attend the old groups? If so, perhaps they are still getting together informally, or you could get together to form a new group?
I don't come here much anymore but you can always mail me at rotunda 2000 at hotmail dot com (no spaces). Might be able to help with Bac emergencies

Scissorhands, I like that suggestions from 8 days a week! It only takes 2 people with a desire to stop drinking to have an AA meeting. If you can even find one person from that other group who is willing to get together periodically, there you go!

In the mean time, it's good to hear that aaonline is helping. Don't hesitate to reach out too on the Weekly AA thread here in the Monthly Abstinence section. https://www.mywayout.org/community/f1...tml#post810906

For me, the combination of My Way Out (the forum + several of the official program components) + AA has helped me get sober and stay sober and build a good sober lifestyle. Don't give up!!!

      All the best to you,

Thats a good idea i could perhaps see if anyone else in my area maybe finding it difficult too give up or cut down, and we could offer support to each other

Excellent advice from DG. Can't hurt a bit to try. Although the on-line support is great to have, I too enjoy the in person AA meetings and never would have thought I would say that.

          Good luck.
