Hi Chaotic,
Welcome to MWO, this is a good place!
Why don't you start by downloading & reading the MWO book from the Health Store, it's about $12.
You need to make a good plan for yourself, look in the Tool Box (in the Monthly Abstinence section) for good ideas for your plan.
Please feel free to drop in the Newbies Nest thread for some extra support
Wishing you the best on your journey!

Welcome Chaotic, I too drank for many years. Well done on taking the first important step on changing your life. I have yet to meet anyone who regrets making that decision. It isnt easy but it can be done and this is a fantastic community of people who truly understand and dont judge, just support.
Keep safe
KTABEthanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Welcome Chaotic!
You have made a positive step coming here.. we have all been in the same boat as you.. though I have not relied on AL on a daily basis.. it has led to so many problems in my life, and I find it hard to know when to stop.. I decided to remain AF as from 2 weeks ago.. this site will give you lots of support.."It works if you work it, because you are worth it!!!"

You've found a good place. Stay close and read and post and let us get to know you. There are many benefits to an af life. I enjoy the mornings when I wake up and feel good with no guilt, sickness headaches tired eyes bad memories etc etc. Instead of planning my next foray into the bottle shop and ensuing slide into a self-induced haze, I can think and plan about things I really want to do.
and Chill, Wow - so well done on 7 weeks. Good on you.Developing an Attitude of Gratitude
