I agree.

The positive energy generated by the people here gives me hope and it is so uplifting. I used to come home half in the bag and fire up the computer and play cards online till the wee hours drinking beer and shots. Now funny as it seems to me cause it is. I find myself looking forward to MWO before I even get home so I can read the posts that help me to strengthen my determination to remain AF. Cheers to all the people who make this site so gratifying.

Just a hello

It is so nice to see that my first and only visit is still here. Thank you.
I've been having some good days, and some not so good. I backslide into old habits of "just one more drink before dinner" after I've planned to have only two. It always happens in the evening. I don't get loaded, but I can't figure out how to put my foot down with it. I feel crummy and sad and guilty the next morning. I just beat myself up about it, and that doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Don't beat yourselfup. I am a big guilt chickie too and all the sobbing and hand wringing just isn't worth it.
We all mess us, then we come here and learn from our fellow al fighters and we remember that we are part of a precious, loving online family that forgives us.
That really helps me.
So, go look in the mirror....I am serious now.....and say.....I love myself and today will be better.
