A bit under 2 years ago I hit rock bottom. I arrived at the hospital where my daughter had just given birth- Drunk as a skunk. My daughter sat me down when she got home and I was visiting she said she wanted me to be a part of my grandbabys life- but not drunk, and I better get some help- It was a reality check, I needed to change or be excluded from my grandbabys future. That was not an option for me. So I did some deep soul searching, and realized I could not blame anyone but me for my problems. Not my husband, not stress, not my job- MEEE. Get Help. I joined MWO, and AA or a while. AA was ok, but MWO fellow members got me through some tough times. And when I made a wrong decision, members told be to dust myself off, and start all over - today is a new day.
I have had a few bumps in the road, and I will forever be on guard for the beast not to tap on my shoulder and try to put me back in his hold-

yesterday, grandbaby 2 born, I arrived at the hospital Friday nite, Sober, and full of joy- Saturday I watched grandbaby number 1, and played all day with him- enjoying and treasuring every minute with him yesterday
If I can do it. So can you!!!
Please everyone that is just starting out and reading this------. know that YOU have a future, that you can do it AF and that life can be great without the bottle!
