    Leave this thread and go to the menu page (threads) for just starting out, look at the top where there's a sticky for forum moderator. Click there, then on the moderator, and you SHOULD get the option to PM them. Let me know if it doesn't work, OK?

            Tina B, there's so much support here, glad you found this site, and have posted. I know exactly how you feel, I'm sick of alcohol controlling my life...I just started the thread about "really messed up, need help asap", I got a DUI Sunday night, and I'd only had 2 glasses of wine, over a long period of time, I'm hoping the atty. can fix it. I'm praying too, I'll add you to mine! We can do this, we have too! Rubes, thanks for starting this, the day I got here, I somehow found the right thread, and I had 2 folks call me the first day. I am friends with sooo many now, and at times like these in my life, I sure miss our great guy Bear, I could use a Bear hug the past few days, he always called me, and helped me so much. I hope he's watching over me upstairs! Love to you all!

                I received lots of PM's yest, some asking questions about, well, lots of things. I love getting PM's; contact me anytime!! But could I also suggest you post questions on this site sometimes, especially if you can't reach me. (I DO travel a lot!) Another heads-up; you can e-mail people who have allowed e-mails, but unless that person gives you their e-mail address, it's blocked from you. (Another GREAT layer of protection for us all.) Don't be afraid to try out all the features, I've not been burned yet here by the website's security. I have to learn by doing, so I've made some strange mistakes over the last years! Just another thought. I'd really like everyone to post on this thread the things they did, tried, screwed up, etc. when you first arrived, or the thread will disapper. Mayabe that's OK, but I'm hoping it is helping someone. Treat this as a learning tool, for yourself and others just reading before jumping in. NOTE: I JUST learned in the last few months, how to work the picture deal, and am having so much fun with it!

                  The 1st time I saw my little private messages box flashing I thought I'd done some thing horrendously wrong. So I clicked on it and it was a lovely welcoming message. I was so pleased that I immediately replied and sent the original message back.

                  And as recently as Christmas I managed to send myself a Christmas greeting. I don't think I could do that again even if I tried.

                                Great Thread Rubie!! When I arrived here, I was surfing the web for info on Rehabs. This site sounded intriqing, so I surfed around for a bit and then joined the same day. I read and read, and a couple of days later I posted on my first thread. Quite honestly, when I joined here, I thought that I fit into the "Hopeless Drunk" catagory. Over the years, I had made half arsed attempts at stopping, but without more than a day or two of success. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that within 3 months time, I would stop drinking, much less more than 2 years after that, I would be living happily sober!!

                                Yes, it takes a lot more than just joining a website, and posting on threads, but, that is a fantastic starting point!
