well I have been sober for a week now. prettt big accomplishment considering I used to drink at least 6 days a week. I'm not gonna lie it wasn't easy but its what I want and everyone I have around me is supporting so that helped. also thanks to everyone here as well, your words of encouragement were a big help too. here's to being sober for many more weeks.
I wish I knew then what I had to learn now.

Today is one week for me, too. I feel so much better not drinking! Stay close to the site for constant encouragement, especially if you get to wanting a drink. Best of luck to you on our journey together! Love ya, Vicki :ranger

That's great Pat. I'm up to a week too, or only drank once in two weeks, whichever sounds better. You have the motivation. I'm sure you can do it. :goodjob:

Congratulationg Pat, well done. The first week is very tough indeed. Keep on doing it, one day at a time. The urges will come, but ride them, and they will pass. Well done,
