    Day 2

    Hi everyone,
Thank you for your support on my sobriety. After a miserable and bad physical and mental torture of drinking I am back on the sober path. I got an old sponsor back last night at a meeting and I am doing what he says. So far so good, had a good day today, going to a meeting in a little bit.

                Day 2

                Hi Beanzy,

I agree with everyone here. Just keep trying. I started "trying" on 25th Jan and have cut my AL intake from 2 bottles a night to about two a week although it's still my intention to stop.

With every drunken night, with every hungover morning I have learned another lesson and found another reason to quit.

I started Topamax on Monday and my resolve is strong. I feel the strongest I have since starting this journey. It's Thursday here and generally I would be worrying about the weekend but I not this time.

I guess it takes everyone a few goes. If we could stop easily, then maybe we wouldn't have this problem in the first place.

                  Day 2

Hi Beanzy, I am glad you are back in the saddle again. Have you set a short term goal for yourself? One day at a time is important, and hard work for sure. Hang in there.
