It made me really think about the quote. Doesn't it so describe out lives!!

Hi Grace, You are so right, I consider myself a fairly intelligent clued in sort of an individual, but the crazy ridiculous excuses and lies I have used over the years to 'explain' and 'verify' and 'condone' my drinking behaviour are so bad that if they weren't so tragic they would be laughable. Its good to make ourselves remember what this poisonous addiction can do to us

Yes, we hope others will forgive us while drinking. But eventually excuses and lies quit working. Some may still tell us they love us, but my family won't deal with it anymore. Good for them! I don't excuse my drinking behavior anymore.
