60 Days AF - Tomorrow

[Farm Girl]

Tomorrow is my 60th day AF....I had a close call 2 nights ago where I was stressed and in a room with family members drinking. It was like this huge wave that was coming at me and I knew I'd drown. So I had my husband bring me home so the next day would not be Day 1 again!

I think I will not celebrate too much - but I am so grateful and happy being sober and AF..so far my golden rule that this is not "an option" for me is working. I have to do this- no options!

Thanks for all the great support everyone- I am shooting for 90 days AF!

You are a great inspiration to us newbies....awesome that your husband took you home the other night when you were uncomfortable.
Someone once told me in an AA meeting years ago, that in their relationship when it came to where they as a couple would go and who they would see, it was always discussed and ONLY if both agreed it was a "safe" place for them to be, then they would go. Planning, planning and planning ahead sure does help and it sounds like you guys have good plans in place for those situations.

I love your strategy for dealing with the family situation. YOU LEFT!!! Always having and exit strategy is an important part of my own daily plan. I don't care where I am. If I had an audience with the Pope himself, I would leave before I would drink.
