OverIt2007's 30-day Challenge - EVERYONE INTO THE POOL!!!

Morning SteveR and OI if you haven't vacated the pool yet!!

Can't believe I'm the first one in today. Maybe because I am so excited....my daughter invited me to be a friend on FB last night!! More than I had hoped for at this junction. I was just hoping she wouldn't block me for now. We had a little chat last night and then I soaked up all 400 of her photos. Woo Hoo!!

So I am determined to stay sober more than ever as I don't want to miss a thing or opportunity!!

    Have a great day!!!:nutso::h

Wow, I cant count. I've had my signature saying I'm on day 127 for the past three days. Today IS 127...guess I was just rushing things along.

RC-You weren't insensitive and no offense was taken! Oh, and I love anything with Lucy in it...that's my favorite show, I have every episode made and me and my daughter love to curl up on the couch and just watch Lucy do what she did best...be crazy funny

I have been in somewhat of a "slump" this week. I haven't been to the gym since last Thursday and I've been eating horribly...and now I just feel "yuck". I gotta pull myself out of this funk. My daughters been with her dad since Sunday, so I know once she gets home today I'll feel better. Maybe we need a "Lucy" night tonight!

      Hope everyone's okay!

Thanks 9R. It's another start that I hope doesn't ever stop this time. She's the oldest and I've told her that if we can show the other two we can do it we can all get there.

I so understand missing your daughter, as you can only imagine. But in the end it is about us, our health and well being, right? This alienation didn't improve one fricken bit by getting drunk several times a week. If anything, at times it would cause word to get to my kids that I was drinking heavily and it would only validate the lies and embellishments my ex had fabricated about "my drinking".

Love Lucy and The Three Stooges too. I should have a collection. They never stop being able to make me laugh.

Get your ass to the gym there girl and you will feel motivated to eat better and all the rest! You hear??:l

Thanks Techie. My spirit is soaring. It IS everything(I know it shouldn't be, but there is nothing like the bond and love of a mother for her children). I don't mean to discount a father's love..it's just different.

I hope that your relationship with your daughter is moving forward in a positive way Techie. :h:l

I just had some homemade cream cheese with herbs and salmon on cucumbers....and I discovered that a I can drink the liquid residue which is readily absorbed whey. Or I will try cooking my quinoa in it. I always threw it out in the past. What a waste! If this interests you I can post the recipe later. Nice easy, yummy, refreshing and rejuvenating snack for after the gym.

Hey RC - your exuberance is really coming across in your posts! I am happy to hear you will be spending time with your daughter. Mothers are very special - I miss mine dearly.

I saw in a previous post you mentioned cooking quinoa. I love the sruff! In fact, I made a quinoa medley earlier today with zucchini and a dressing with olive oil, organge zuice, lemon juice and the zest of an organge. Very tasty!

Enjoy the laps and the cannonbals everyone!

Hey thanks PA. Nothing confirmed with daughter. I've put it out there and now the wait is on for a reply and hopefully a positive one. Has your mother passed?

Quinoa is the perfect grain. I'm gluten intolerant and don't tolerate many grains or rice well being a B blood type. Quinoa is a complete protein and no gluten. Your salad sounds yummy. Quinoa can sub for just about any bulgar or rice recipe. I just add it to broth with spices and 15 minutes later have a hearty, tasty soup. (oh and now adding the liquid whey from making my own cream cheese makes it even more nutritious and tasty)

Hope you enjoyed some laps during your visit. Do come back

RC - good luck with your daughter - I'll be sending positive vibes your way.

Yes, my mom passed 4 years ago. I am really thankful that I had a good strong relationship with her. In many ways, I wish I could be more like her. As she used to describe herself, "I'm one tough bird". Strong, steely determination to never give up and gave lots of unconditional love. :h

Aw she sounds like my kind of woman. You may be more like her than you give yourself credit for. I see you joined January 2007 and you're still here fighting for a better life!:l
