Hi. My name is Kay, and I had gastric bypass surgery June, 2001. Have kept my weight off, but wound up a serious alcoholic. It is very common in bypass patients. Tried Campral, Topa, Naltrexone, hypnosis, you name it. Nothing has worked. After returning to MWO, I learned of Baclofen and am very hopeful that I can finally lose the cravings. Just started Baclofen yesterday and read Dr. A's book. I will post my progress on the baclofen threads. Don't know whether the surgery will affect the efficacy of the drug. Guess I'll just forge onward.

I am a gastric bypass patient as well....never had any issues with booze until I had the surgery
traded food for booze......
