Well done on the 19 days Techie! I'm glad to hear it's getting easier...the more time you pile up, the easier it will continue to get (it really will, and not just because you are telling yourself that it is )

Here's to a happy sober Wednesday everyone...hope you're all well!

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Me too - finally got a good night's sleep (first in months), thanks to a pill (harumpff) - however while I am rested I too feel a little hungover. At least I know it is a sleeping pill hangover and not "the other kind!"

Picnic this afternoon on the Heath with my children, and the dog. Lovely day, they are such good company. Coming to the end of day 25, which feels great, however there are many emotions that surface as you get sober. I have spent several years smothering my feelings, my intellect, with alcohol. More often than not I would be fighting through the day with a hang over until the evening, at which point I would open the wine and deaden myself with booze. There must be a whole part of my adult emotional life that has been stunted. I have a lot of re-learning to do.

                                Hi guys.

Hi Not. Absolutely. Feel the same way. A lot of self discovery to do. And as pleasant as it is at times, as tough it is having to deal with things.

                                Keep going. You're doing fantastic!!!
