I came here a few days ago. I thought I might have had a problem. I made a few posts then I started reading the forums.
Cripes! I did not even know I was alive. My 'problem' is so tiny and insignificant compared to some others here.
I think I'll just shut up now and lurk. I don't need to ask any more naive questions...the answers are already here.
I am mightily impressed with the honesty, compassion and understanding of the members.

You are right in that many have struggles to varying degrees. I've always been told God doesn't give us more than we can handle. So I guess our struggles must be relevant to what we can handle and what we need to learn. I do question that believe me.
Anyways, you came here with questions and questions you should not feel ashamed to ask or that you will burden anyone.
Yes there is a lot to be learned from sitting back and reading but don't forget that your postings may just be the light that turns on in someone's head or maybe even your own.

I didn't see your post but perhaps what brought you here was your own concern about the amount or frequency of your drinking and that in inself isn't insignificant or trivial.

Bluey - if you mean add a pic next to your name, go to User CP in the blue bar at the top, then Edit avatar, where you can upload from your 'puter (or chose a pic from loads already available). Don't forget to press 'save'. Try that.

I see you've now listed your location as Noosa. Pretty place.

Thanks tawnyfrog. Upload 'failed' but I'll persist. Yep. Noosa is great. I came up here from Brisbane in 1990 to visit my daughter. Had a great time (wife and son stayed home to work the business)...when I arrived back there was an offer for my business sitting on my desk. It was a mighty good one so we had a talk about it, and accepted. We sold our property in Brisbane and moved to Noosa for a six month holiday...it turned in to twenty years. Son started a new business and I retired.

Blue - I was just playing around and happened upon the different avatar pics. There were 19 pages or so and I liked this one).

Tawnyfrog has provided great directions on how to change yours as well. Just be sure to sign in or login first 'cuz otherwise the options weren't there for me....

I'm so happy I found this site I've never been to Austrailia but it's amazing to me how oceans apart we all have come together on this one site for the exact same purpose

Morning BH and 4MH41, never think your probs are trivial, you wouldn't be here if you weren't worried in the first place. Keep posting and like Tawnie and Techie and RC say some aspect you're worried about could hit the spot with someone else - it's a great place and you don't have to be falling apart at the seams to be here!
