Who here feels great without a hangover??

I do it's amazing when I think how many times I was either in pain with headaches, throwing up, passing out or just plain scared/depressed. Now I just get up and go. Ok some mornings I do lack motivation, want to hide and be down but a bit of willpower gets me going - something I wouldn't have been able to do when still drinking.

its GREAT not having a hangover.
anotherday, i used to be envious of people who didnt get hangovers. a few of them are now dead. not having the awful day after gave them permission to carry on drinking ...... killing themselves without the warnings others get. im actually now grateful of the hangovers as they remind me what i am doing myself.
Today is the tomorrow i worried about yesterday and it turned out fine

Being Hangover free on the weekends is like getting 2 extra days for yourself in the week! Love it!

Who here feels great without a hangover??

Hi, All. This is my first time here, though I've peeked a few times. I will not have another "first" day again, and I darn well better take steps to make it happen. This is it, first day for the LAST TIME!!!! I want to thank you all for being here and putting yourselves 'out there' as an inspiration!! I'm losing faith that it can be done, it feels like I have waited too long, but the alternative is nauseatingly distasteful. I'm ready. Today's the day. I'm glad you're with me!!! Thank you!!!!

Hey Hope:welcome: This place is a life saver. The wonderful thing about giving up booze is how quickly you start to feel brilliant, the first couple of days are tough and then it just gets good.
Techie, my eyes aren't great - is that a man on a horse?

Welcome Hope. I'll answer Techies question mollyka. Yes it is a man on a horse and very drunk. It's a scene from an old American movie called Blazing saddles. Basically a comedy type western.

It is Molly. Matho it's from the movie Cat Ballou starring Jane Fonda. Lee Marvin plays the drunken character called Kid Shelleen.

And i love the stories of your classic 'hellraising' drunk's who get sober, and stay that way. There are a lot around, and it is an absolute inspiration.
