    Witching hour

It has just gone 6pm UK time and the craving has returned. This seems to be the hardest time until about 9pm.I will go out for a walk around the block just to distract me. It seems so much harder than last week when I did 8 days without this horrible craving.:upset:

    Hi Anon,
Distract yourself any way possible to get through those hard evening hours. Going for a walk sound like a great idea! When you return home maybe you can try reading or watching a movie on TV. Make sure you're not hungry or thirsty, as those can be triggers. Stay strong, I know you can do this!

      Hi anon,
Do you have any L-Glut? I got mine from the health food bit in Tesco. Don't let it put you off that it's near the body builder stuff.
If not a walk round the block is a great distraction do it as many times as you can until the craving wears off.

          Be strong Anon!
I found the first time I attempted being sober was the easiest one in that it was all a novelty and a bit like BlueHeeler says on another thread, a bit of an adventure. When we slip up it just seems a bit harder, that's why they say the falling down and getting back up again all the time is tricky. When you get past your previous 8 day time it will be new territory again so keep going!!!!

In the past when I was stringing days together, I found eating took away my craving.

Back from Tesco where they did not have any L glut so I went to Sainsburys etc. no luck so I bought an Indian take away which I love and am heating it up as we speak.

Sorry about that, anon, our tesco has a big health food shop inside it. But I know you can get it at Holland and Barrat. I just adore curries.

Keep at it anon. The time that we succeed after being tested just give us more ammunition the next time. Enjoy your curry!

Molly I'm having curry tonight. A pre pack called 'Passage To India'...it's great, one of the best I've ever had (lamb of course) The trick is getting the rice just right.

Curry was lovely what a treat! Nice to wake up hangover free after a curry.Although I do not think it was the curry that got me drunk.
I dreamed all night about drinking wine and when I woke up I was sober Yippee. I think the real battle is only just starting. Rainy day here but am off out to collect Grandchildren and can choose the car as i am now safe to drive.
Resolve is so good and strong in the morning hangover or not. I must count my blessings though having read some of your stories in particular the Katie B threads

Yes it's great when you wake up and know you are ok, that you aren't suffering the legacy of drinking.

Quick question - how many days AF are you?
