(Sorry, had to sneak that one in)... So glad you feel positive!!!!

Sorry I meant to say last week I got too 8 days. Have not been Af since then but very moderate! still I realize that it will escalate if I do not go completely AF. Bacon buttie is a Liverpudlian (scouser0 term for a bacon sandwich(bacon sarnie in scouse also)

welll NOW I'm hungry. A bacon samie could do now

I know what you meant You got to 8 days, you get there again AND further!!!! Take it ODAT. Tackle one day at a time. As long as you're trying you are doing well... Just don't ever give up giving up
      AF since 15th March 2010

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Hey Overit!! Excited to see you

I will pray for you. You'll make it through today.

Yeah, the crazy world weather is the center of many conversations even here on MWO these days, hey? A couple of days ago for the beginning of Summer in Germany they had snowfall. That's flipping crazy?!!!!

            Thank You Johnny!!!!

Yes, I have figured out my pattern, if I get through today, I should be good!

On another note, I want to write something a bit more serious. I checked my Facebook page and some very dear friends of my sisters will probably lose their little 4 year old boy today to a brain tumor. They have gathered the family together, and it does not look like the baby will make it.

I do not write this to bum you out, but rather to know that others in the world have some severe suffering going on today. Can you just feel grateful today for what you do have today???

            God Bless,

              Hi everyone

Wishing you all the strength you need overit!
All this talk of food, bacon buttie mmmmmm.
Hi Anon - Glad to hear you're feeling positive, keep it up, hows the running? Mine is continuing to be a slow slow progress, but I wouldn't even be attempting it if I was suffering the hangovers. The fact I am even attempting to run at all is an achievement for moi!
I'm with you Blue Heeler - lovin' the ginger beer! Gets me through.

Day um..12 for me today, mind is a bit scattery, moods are a bit scattery too. Bit confronting facing life head on sober sometimes, but so far holding it together. Neeeed to do this, so very keen to continue on AF.

Hi to everyone else, have a great Wednesday

Wow. That's hectic. I'm so sorry.

I'm grateful everyday for all I have. Especially two healthy children and a beautiful wife.

It's sad when these things happen. But the child will be with Jesus and off much better. It's the ones remaining, the family, the parents who suffer.

                How are you coping Overit?!!

                    Your so sweet Johnny,

I do not know these people personally, they are friends of my sisters. My sister is pretty much a Saint! She has a HUGE heart for Jesus, and she gets very involved with others usually through her church.

She befriended this couple from Africa, and became close to them when they came to the states to hopefully, help their child. This couple has an AMAZING FAITH in the Lord, and even as their child is losing his life, They have Blessed God every single Day!

Now Johnny, if that is not Faith and Love for the Lord, to praise Him as your child dies, then I do not know what is.

Your right, Johnny, baby will be right with the Lord.

                    God Bless,

Anon- I too have a problem getting passed the 8 day but like Over it says I know the pattern now and hopefully this time I will get passed it.

Gertrude - absolutely fantastic on day 12AF keep it going and sod the moods i'm sure they will come right soon. Get a punch bag :H:H
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Yeah Overit. It is. There will be pain for sure. Baby will be missd.

It's probably one of the toughest if not the toughest thing to lose a child. Especially at such a young age. So am so glad that the parents are strong and no there is hope!!!

My 1st ODAT posting! I see a few of us are on Day 3... Congrats to those ahead of me on this journey, make sure I don't catch up with AF days, that is my wish. A GF is coming to visit just now (afternoon), and we always enjoy some wine together. so, I was very worried, but an MWO member who is very dear to me, suggested that I go and buy AF drinks. I am not big on "soft drinks", (LOL, if I was, I wouldn't be here, no?), so, I got 0% Becks, and 0% Red Square!!! Then I realised the latter is an energy drink!!!! I become a disco bunny on that stuff!!!! Will keep you posted! Jokes aside, I have been having headaches since Day 2, is that part of this trip? For the rest, I am very proud of myself, as I can not remember an AF day in a VERY long time. A long and winding road, BUT, just for today, with the support here, I know we can do it! CARPE DIEM!!!

                              Welcome to the ODAT thread.

Wish you all the best for your afternoon. It's tough we know ... Well done for doing it. that's the most important thing. take it one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow. It's great that you're AF today.

The headaches are fairly normal. that's the toxins. That should get better after a week. All the best
