    ODAT, Sunday, 13 June 2010

    Morning guys.

A much, much better morning for me today. I just thought I'd post this (posted this in another thread in the General discussion) just to remind us what ODAT is about:

Just for To-day I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something for twelve hours that would appal me if I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Have a great AF day today folks!!!
    AF since 15th March 2010

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

          Morning Katie and Johnny.
Got a fuzzy head this morning but no drinking after lots of agonizing and temptations/cravings last night.
So 4thday AF. Try to stay very busy again to keep the monster at bay. Do feel positive that I am going to win.

Well flipping done to the both of you. I went through some sincere struggles meself the past two days and know all too well how difficult it is. I hang on by my bare, bare teeth, honestly.

ODAT guys, that's how we beat this. NEver mind tomorrow, never mind yesterday, we just have to beat today right now. that's all that matters.

Great work everyone. Fantastic stuff. Nearing the end of day 9 AF and I spent the moring shoe shopping with my daughters which was not a lot of fun. Then we all went to the park for a couple of hours to kick the footy around in the glorious sunshine. Next it was off to the movies and then it was time for dinner and some house work. Tomorrow morning at 4.15am we are all getting up to watch Aust v Germany in the world cup. I could never have done this much 2 weeks ago when I would have been approaching the last day of a weekend bender and would have been feeling very poorly indeed.

                          Goodmorning all,
Day 7 today, feeling great, slept 13 hours last night, really needed it. Woke up this morning and sat out on my porch swing with my coffee and I think for the first time in a loooong time really enjoyed the lake even though it is misting and cloudy. I would usually drink my coffee while watching the news, then hurry and clean the house so I could go sit out by the lake or the porch with al in hand, but not today. Not quiet anymore kids are fighting, but thats ok.

Hubby was happy he only had one glass of wine last night, hmmm, maybe he is realizing that he too has a problem with al and needs to cut back or quit. I personally am quitting ODAT.

Glad to hear everyone doing so well. Glad I have all of you to encourage me on and I will be here to encourage you!

Mollyka ireland should be at the world cup-- They were robbed
Do not watch football usually but everyone here in Merseyside is footie mad so it would be a shame to miss out on all the excitement. More fun without the booze. I have just looked at the clock on my computer and it is 17 17 by now I have been going crazy for a drink, but do not even feel like one today.
                            Roll on day 5 tommorrow
