I definitely recommend Antabuse to anyone willing to commit to it. I mean, who would have ever thought I'd be on day 75???!!!! I'm still shocked, pleasantly
I am at the point where I am only taking Antabuse every other day....anything to save money at this point....plus, it's gonna stay in your system for 2 weeks, so skipping a few pills won't matter, as long as you don't convince yourself it would be okay to drink...because it's not!

I hear ya girl, I really do. I kinda wish my last doctor visit had not discouraged me so, but the doctor before this jackass whole heartedly recommended Antabuse for me! Im getting there, I swear.

Did you freak out in the beginning with the Antabuse after you took it, like holy shit, I cant have a drink!!! I think thats how I will react, LOL. How do you get over it??

Mama you and me freak out about the same stuff with the Antabuse! I think we need to learn how to get over it. Johnny and K-9, just look at those two wonderful people. They did it right???

Yes, bad stuff (so I've heard, I've never tested the theory personally). From what I understand, your face gets flushed, your heart RACES, you vomit, and in some cases, people have ended up in the ER. Now, I know this sounds drastic, but that's the point. I am apparently the type that needs to be "scared straight"....I was petrified the first few days of having a reaction. But so far, I haven't had a reaction to anything. The scare factor is what saved me, just knowing what would happen was enough to make me quit. And eventually not drinking becomes so normal that the Antabuse is just like a backup, you'll notice you're not really relying on it anymore. And that's a wonderful feeling of freedom. If you guys want to give it a try, I will more than support you and help you in anyway I can!

it really scares the crap out of me....just went to the cuss thread and poste dnad it was quite theraputic...also called hubs and said sorry again and told him how much i love him and he gave a heavy sigh and said "I know baby"
