Blue Heeler has 30 Days AF
Thanks 4. I don't know why, but it was a breeze. No cravings or other problems and the time just flew by. I really don't know what to do next. I don't feel like a drink. Couldn't even face a beer, let alone a whisky. I could probably manage a decent sherry (Bristol Cream)...maybe because I've been on the soft drinks for a month and am used to the sweet taste.
I am still very surprised at the outcome. I was a heavy drinker for decades, mostly beer and whisky. A dozen 375ml cans of full strength every night (or equivalent...a whisky bottle wouldn't last the night...I used to take the cap off and biff it away 'I won't be needing that.' It was a ritual I learned from my father who only ever drank whisky (while I drank beer)
What do I do now? Have a drink to celebrate or go for the 60?

I wish I could say that my first 30 was a breeze! I had lots of cravings and was pretty darn crabby about half of the time, but it did get easier with every passing day (beer was my MAJOR vice for decades as well)!
Don't have a celebratory drink (I know you won't) ~ just move straight on towards the big 60NF - 3/17/09
AF since 5/24/10

Congratulation's Bluey! That's a huge achievement. Here's to the next 60!
Beware the 'old al lifestyle' thought's, as they can hit us when we least expect it, and especially so in the first few month's of af life. For me, at 30 day's af, the real work began.
Great stuff friend!
