          ODAT 4th of July!

Good morning Blue,Sol and Mollyka.--And all ODAT people to come
Been very busy still getting the cravings and not sure whether they will go. I was thinking that although I have had a few slips I was able to get straight back on the wagon and that was entirely due to this forum as nothing else has ever worked for me in my career as an alcoholic. So I have had more AF days in the last 6 weekst han I have had in the past 40 years.
I started posting on this forum a few years ago but I guess I was not ready to let go then and was cynical about all this cyber stuff (good excuse) Anyway thanks for listening and encouraging.:thanks:

Morning Girly, good to hear you are back on track - you had quite a few people worried!
Hey Anon, I agree, this place works for me - and yes I think your head has to be in the right place or you'll just be hitting a brick wall - sounds like you're in that place now?

                ODAT 4th of July!

Morning guys. Wasn't able to check in here yesterday. Was just online briefly in the morning and the thread wasn't there yet. Didn't want to start it off in a rush either

Spent my day at the footie yesterday. (yes, I was in the stadium during the historic victory over Argentina. Can you believe it?! Will be one of those things I'll be telling my grandkids about one day.)

Was home late and only managed to interrupt my celebrations to post a quick note ont eh World Cup thread in the Sports section

                Happy 4th of July everyone.

I'm over the moon today and still ever so cheerfull and celebrating my team. Unless you're a sports fanatic you probably won't get it. if you are, you will understand that right now i'm on a cloud.

Overit, just read back over yesterday's ODAT. Looks like Antabuse was just the thing for you. I'm so, so happy it's working so well for you.

K9, Mama, all the people I love so much on here (yes that includes you). Have a lovely ODAT day.

                Girly, be strong girl. Please.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Nice going everyone and happy 4th to all the US folk.
Day 30 here for me and I took the family out to a rugby league game and we had a great time. :band2:
I must admit the last 2-3 days have seen my mind wander but I used the 30 day goal as motivation and did just fine. It's now time to take on the next 30 days and make it 60 and I'm feeling very confident about that.
