Thanks for the support everyone. It means a lot to me.
In the past I've tried Campral, couselling services, mindfulness based relaxation all with mixed success. I never could get into the AA thing as I struggle to come to terms with the philosophy of a higher power but each to their own I believe.
Being able to draw on things such as the Toolbox, being able to share the experinces of others, both good and bad and being able to do it at a time convenient to me has been a huge help.
I understand I still have a great deal of work to do to remain AF but now I know it's an acheivable goal and on that is worth every ounce of effort required.
This time a little over a month ago, on a Sunday night I would be drunk and lazy and distanced from my family. Tonight it's now time for me to do the washing up, practice some bass, maybe even lay down a few tracks, finish a book I'm reading, maybe watch a little tele my wife and I'm actually looking forward to going to work in the morning hangover free again.
