Good for you Flip, just dont over do it eh
Personally I think exercise can play a huge part in getting and keeping sober. Eating well, taking the sups and exercise. Oh and playing an active role on the boards of course.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Hey Flip, been real busy at work and haven't posted in a while but this thread caught my eye. Since putting down the bottle I've been able to be much more consistent about my gym time and I do believe my gym time is one of the things helping to keep me from picking the bottle back up - it's a virtuous circle of win.
If you're like me, years of attempts at moderation and sobriety really eroded my self confidence and belief that I could do anything consistently. Getting to the gym several times a week not only relieves stress and improves my mood but each completed work out is a bit more validation that I'm getting back in control of my life again. Fitness and weight loss are just side benefits compared to that feeling!"I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten"

Ok brisk walk down(20 mins) - 20 mins Cardio intervalsup hill walking for 10 minutes on treadmill. I have lost 1/2 my strength but ill conquer it - I tell you I will he he. Think the squats with 60kg on the smiths machine mat hurt tomorrow. But I know when you get into it the doms (delayed onset muscle soreness) get less. Good job Flip!
I'm working with a personal trainer, I'm on week 4 and boy can I see and feel a difference. If you are sore, try sitting in the sauna after your workout, it helps alleviate the discomfort. Keep up the great work!!!:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Well done flip-top! I got a bit more serious with my training about 2 months ago, and I'm really noticing a huge difference now. Have become a sauna regular too - K9 you are so right!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
