I think it might be football related Katie.

    Morning everyone
"The greatest hazard of all, losing one?s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed." Soren Kierkegaard.

      Yes indeed. It is.

I would hereby like to suggest we adopt a NO-FOOTBALL policy into the ODAT thread.

All in favor Raise your hands.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

I'm sorry to hear that too girly,
I had some cravings today.. the old "addictive" talk was trying to have its wicked way with me: "i deserve it, i've been doing so well" etc.. but I ignored that voice and remembered why I am doing this! Day 20 nearly over for me.. tomorrow will be 3 weeks! feeling strong and healthy..

          Johnny,
Agreed.. I've hardly been following it anyway, since all the matches have been around 2am over here, so ive not bothered watching any matches this year..

I 'm feeling anxious today, Social situation occurring tonight and there is a girl there who I'm keen on and I think may reciprocate. Used to having AL lubricate my social engine. It's a daunting prospect, and a new one. I feel like a nervous teenager. I know many suggest staying away from carnal pursuits for the first year of sobriety but that's not going to happen, feel scared. This will be a real test, may well have to walk away

H Johnny. Go for it!! Dont walk away. My partner didnt turn up on our first date because he chickened out. I didnt see him for two years..we are now seeing each other and it's been over a year. It's a good solid relationship and I joke to him about the two years he wasted. But I am also kind of serious too.
