    first timer!

Tolerance is a big marker for dependence, Xavier. A lot of drinkers, particularly women, are very good at hiding how much they drink, so it may have been a combination of both. Although you may not have hangover symptoms in the morning, you don't seem all happy to me, you seem pretty scared! As Kimberley and Molly said, withdrawal symptoms vary based on many factors, so just go for 1 day alcohol-free and see how you feel. I'm pretty new at this too (day 29 for me), and I find these threads help me:

Check in as much as you can also; it's incredibly helpful to get support from people going through exactly what you're going through. Hang in there! :welcome:

        first timer!

Hi Pink Angel, I'm off to work today so I won't drink anything until I get home tonight. The funny thing is when I'm at work it doesn't worry me but as soon as I'm finished I can't wait to get home & crack a bottle of wine.
