TECHIE'S 30 DAY CLEAN SOBER CHALLENGE

Hey folks - checking in - day 44 for me. Having a bit of a lackluster day - we've had a dramatic change in weather here lately and that always effects my sinuses. Hoping it will clear up in the next day or 2.... Still feeling strong and committed to remaining AF. I am contemplating canceling plans I have for Saturday to visit friends who are pretty heavy drinkers. I just don't want to be around them right now. I hope they understand!

Hope you are all having a great day!

Aw Nora and Fennel I just read your posts. Please keep up the good work you two.

Hey PA Guy sorry bout the snauz. I got feeling a little poorly this afternoon myself. I knew I'd be a little achy after my mountain climbing episode but the lack of sleep and maybe catching a little bug had me feeling like a bowl full of jelly. So I had a little nap but no Tigger excursions tonight. May be best to avoid the heavy drinkers for now. You know best and if they don't understand you know we do!

Miss B sorry about your kitty friend. How on earth did she manage to fall out of the tree? Hope all goes will with the procedure and her recovery. Have a wonderful sober time at the wedding and enjoy your "new wheels". I too am so determined to do this challenge!

Do keep trying with evermore determination folks. xo

On the note of restarting and determination. I just did a count of my al days verses af days. I'm happy to report in the last 124 days: 104 af days verses 20 al days. I think I can be proud of that.

                    Hi Everyone,
Happy Thursday! RC, I think you are doing a great job and should be proud of your 104 AF days out of 124, that is awesome...keep up the great work!

I had a random dream last night that I was drinking Rum and Coke! Not sure where that came from...and in the dream I was proud of myself because I only had 3 and didn't get completely drunk. It was very realistic though, because in the dream I had family over and I couldn't wait for them to leave so I could start drinking. Wow...the AL beast doesn't give up easy, does it? I was glad to wake up and realize that it was ONLY a dream...whew!

Hope everyone has a great AF day...keep up the good work everyone!

                      Thought For Day 12

                      Let life inspire you
Let life inspire you. No matter what happens, you can choose to be inspired by it.
If you make a mistake, let it inspire you to be more careful and diligent next time. When you're having a great time, let it inspire you to create even more positive experiences.

Each time you see kindness, be inspired to pass it forward. If you encounter deception or injustice, feel inspired to raise your world above it.

Anything can inspire you when you choose to let it. You can even be inspired for no reason at all.

Be inspired by the big accomplishments and by the small, simple moments as well. An inspired life is a life that's rich, and it's a life you can choose no matter what.

If there's a reason to be inspired or if there is not, be inspired. Bring your spirit fully to life, and raise your life to a higher, more enriching level.

TECHIE'S 30 DAY CLEAN SOBER CHALLENGE

                        thank you Techie!

Glad to hear everyone is going so well.

Thanks for all the thoughts about my Betty-puss. RC - the story of how my cat fell out of the tree is a long one!! Suffice to say she is too adventurous for her own good!! If I was drinking I would have turned this into a major drama (and of course an excuse to get drunk!!) - I am very pleased to be dealing with it sensibly and rationally.

Racing away here as we are supposed to be on the road already and I'm still in my pajamas!!

May have only intermittent email access over the weekend, but if I do I will have all your avatars accompanying me to the wedding! Also have my L-Glut and Kudzu packed!
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Well folks the adventures of RC and Tigger continue. If you read this Sk8 I have an awesome pic for you in the thread prolly not up til tomorrow now. Locked my keys in the car though had to get the tow man to rescue us!

Thanks all for the affirmations. I am feeling better about my life than I have in a long while. Taking some serious af time has helped to reduce the stress and drama of my life even if the circumstances haven't and may never change. Life will go on and it will be happier and productive truly doing my best.

Miss B ~ I think having some MWO avatars along is brilliant. I have copied some of my most inspiring MWO folk's avatars and pasted them into a word doc. I will print them out and carry them with me too.

PA Guy hope you're feeling better today!
