Hello everyone....had a good nights sleep and now need to do something productive today...
I have only got to hang on until 3pm today...thats when the wine/spirit shop closes ...keep up the good work!!!!

Morning All!!
Another adventure last night....none too fun though at the end. Got locked out of my house(reason is a long story) and had to sleep at the store. Thankful I had the right tool this morning to get back in w/o calling a locksmith.
Twice in one week is really not on....
Road tripping the last few days has made me want to stop at various locations for a beer just out of habit. Would be harmless enough but not in line with my current goal. So drive on I must.

Hi all! Day 828 here. The first half of the day was action packed and there is NO WAY I could ever have kept anywhere close to this pace while drinking. Heck, I probably wouldn't be out of bed yet in the old days. The hard work and struggles to get AF are sure worth it in my book. And it DOES get easier.

Strength and hope to all for a good sober day.

Well I had a bit of a tough time today....those stupid crazy voices in my head telling me it was ok to have another drink....just this once....this started about 1.30pm...go on...go on....you still have time to get to the shop to buy some vodka....it was driving me crazy...but...I took myself off to bed and stayed there until 3pm...I was not going to let the voices cave me in!!!!...I am safe for tonight and all day tomorrow....phew!!!!!:illbeback:

Hi Babysteps. I can't answer your question but wanted to say welcome! It seems a bit quiet here this afternoon. Hope someone comes along to help with that. In the meantime there is lots of good reading and the Rain in My Heart Documentary is definitely something to take the time to watch. A sad account of how far alcohol can take us. All the best!

Now you are only 827 days ahead of me; I'll get there and we'll hope you stay that many ahead.
And yes, beautiful day today in burbs; when I joined not long ago it was one of those awful hot humid days, a very hot summer here indeed which means I haven't spent as much time outside as I don't like it. I'll add you to my buddy list. I do think this site can help me get to 'AF' living.
