        Thought For Day 20

        Just do
There is no need to try. Just do.
Feel what you feel without judgment or regret. Those feelings connect you with the power of your authentic purpose.

Use your head wisely to follow your heart faithfully. There's much that you can think, and yet even more that you can know.

Let the experience of each moment come, and then let it go. Rest assured that the goodness will stay with you always, because you love it so.

Be now in spirit where you would most like to be. Imagine waves of pure joy as they carry you along.

Somewhere within you, all is well, no matter when, no matter what. Feel the peace of knowing the beauty of who you truly are.

Hello all! Techie, thanks for another great thought for the day. All is well within me too, and that feels FABULOUS!!! What a change from the dark and suicidal days. I don't ever want to go back there, that's for sure. Great to see all the POSITIVE ENERGY today!! I too love to annoy people with my perk when I am feeling this good!

There is just no way I am going to ruin this fabulous feeling I've got today with a drink. Day 835.

                    Thought For Day 21

                    Keep getting results
When you get the results you're after, that's great. When the results fall short of your expectations, that's great too because you gain valuable knowledge and experience.
If you're going through a difficult stretch, keep going and you'll get yourself beyond it. If you're getting unsatisfactory results, keep making the effort, keep getting results and as you grow more effective with each attempt, you'll eventually get it just right.

With each action you take, you make a difference. The more experience you have at making a difference, the more skillful you become at making that difference exactly what you want it to be.

Look back at how far you've come since you started. See and understand how even the disappointing results have helped you to find your way forward.

With every effort, regardless of the outcome, you've made a step in the direction of the results you seek. Always expect the best, no matter what has happened before, for your results will move steadily toward your expectations.

Keep going, keep making the effort, keep making a difference and keep getting results. Each day, each action brings you ever closer to the goal.

Results falling short of expectation really resonates with me today. I was up early and had a great workout. It is an absolutely beautiful day here in the northeast. However, I feel this dark cloud looming over me, I just can't shake this weepy feeling. I'm sure it's just the ebb and flow of life that I often escaped with alcohol. I will try not to dwell and search for root cause, but go with these feelings and see where it takes me. I hope everyone else ids doing well as I do draw strength from my MWO brethren. John

As for me another fail at 30 days. I can't even say it was the f*k it button this time, more like a "reward" button. I was anticipating this for a few days planning a get together with a couple of friends. The get together didn't pan out but I was already hooked looking forward to my precious Pinot. I took 10 grams of l-glut prior to opening the bottle but still ended drinking almost 2. I don't understand myself I thought I was much stronger.

RC, you are still seeing your wine as something "precious" not as the vile, evil poison that it is to us alcoholics....as long as you continue to look at it this way or to see it as a reward, it makes it so much easier to fall.

                                Hey Techie:

I feel terribly inadequate giving you advice because of your strength and wisdom but perhaps it is the Labor Day holiday weekend that is impacting your emotions. I know I always seemd to get down in the dumps because Labor Day always represented the end of summer. Yes, it is an absolutely gorgeous day here on the East coast and I have been spending most of the afternoon enjoying the blue skies, sunshine and fresh air! Hang in there, buddy, this too will pass. You are an inspiration to many of us
