    Where to Start?...

I know this is a bit naughty, but i've had two small glasses of wine, a damn lot less that what i would normally have. I'm not planning on going to the bottle shop, so 1.5 it is.

Tomorrow, tomorrow will be the big challenge. I think i will have to take myself out after work... I don't know if i'll be able to stay sober tomorrow.
One day at a time.. Sometimes it's one minute or one second at a time.. Most important thing is to look ahead and don't look back!

      stick with me change.
weekends are bastards for me also.
country towns just REVOLVE around drinking.
i've been able to do 1 or 2 nights AF last week,& the odd time before that, but never have i had the commitment to go further.
trying to keep busy is difficult for me at nights. used to prepping dinner, glass in hand.
      will keep trying tonight.
      check in tomorrow or whenever?

beagle, i have been entertaining the idea of moving to the country, but the deep down fear that i will start buying alc in BULK really worries me!

Well, i'm here. Had my two standard drinks and don't regret it in terms of feeling relaxed but am relieved i don't actually really want anymore. Tomorrow night will be a killer. I work till 7.30pm, perfect justification for having a bottle... And, oh so many open on the way home

You've done really well not touching that evil stuff tonight. I'm going to have a herbal tea later.

I used to think the same about small towns - in mine it was always said there were more pubs per capita than anywhere else. Well had that misconception shattered when recently I visited and stayed in two large, regional cities. In both it was as if I was surrounded by legions and legions of pubs, bars and off licences with people drinking at all times of day. In the evening there were hoards of people on the streets drunk.

Whereever you are there will be alcohol, as problem drinkers we think we might get away by moving or creating a different situation for ourselves. Known as geographicals they don't usually work.

I'm actually doing night duty at work tonight, which will ensure i won't drink! How's that for fate? (i love it when the Universe looks after it's own)..
