    The end of the Experiment

My road has had plenty of bumps too. Unfortunately, I think that is all part of the process. Welcome back Patrice. I have a question for you - I hope you don't mind me answering. (needless to say, you don't have to answer if you don't want to...)

I recall in your very early AF days your first "slip" that you posted about. We had a lively discussion with various opinions presented about whether a "slip" should mean you should count from day 1 or for wherever you are. That is a question that comes up a lot around here. You already know my opinion. (If I drink, it's back to Day 1 for me - it's up to others what they decide to do)

Now that you have experienced the challenge of staying AF for a longer period of time, has your opinion changed? Just curious if you care to share. The important thing is that you are back on the wagon!

      The end of the Experiment

      HI Patrice,

Every time I experimented with moderation my drinking would accelerate. Suppose that is why is is called a progressive disease. I am glad your back.

        The end of the Experiment

Thanks all for your wonderful replies..
Firefox, Babysteps and Time to change, whichy - yes I also felt depression during and after a binge. I can really relate to going to get the hair done and 2 bottles of wine later... I also missed out on so many things because I was too drunk... we can all do this together.
Zen - thank you, yes the life is not linear and I think someone else also said thats its all learning which must be good
Sheri - thanks for your quote
Papmon - i do have the supps thanks
Doggy - After all the previous discussion after my first slip in June I kept counting for 3 more days then wound the clock back to day 1.. as i have done this time
Techie- I would be delighted to be back on your challenge.. thank you

I am on day 5 now - and will keep climbing, I no longer have that small seed of denial that i can drink safefy or that binge drinking will take away any pain.My body is starting to feel a bit better and I'm eating again

As you are all there for me.. I am also here for you all
        Take Care
