    Congrats Tired!!!

Your story is very much like mine.. drink of choice wine..wine and more wine.. tried to stop a million times but then the battle gets too exhausting. I am almost at 90 days now and I have made it through a vacation sober! thought I could never do that.. it really is one day.. one hour at a time, until the feeling, craving passes and then the cravings subside. Hang in there.. don't go back, keep reaching out! Its the only way.
Isolation is a sign of a impending relapse, also keep in mind.. never get too Hungry, angry , lonely or tired! HALT! I now am slightly addicted to starbursts but No hangovers or shame included!!!
May our choices today not result in regret, but rather be wise

Hi Tired and congratulations on 7 days, doesn?t it feel wonderful? I?m new here too and just at 3 weeks AF so appreciate how much you have put into this but it is so worth while. I think we just have to take it odat and deal with each hurdle as they come up with a plan of how to cope in any situation. I post on the Sober September Challenge and there are lots of us with different lengths of Af time why not join us for the rest of September. They are a great bunch and there is loads of advice.

Keep up the good work and give yourself a huge pat on the back

      Dewdrop :h
Enjoy today - there will be no other one quite like it....

Cherbear and Dewdrop, Congrats to both of you for remaining AF!! Yes, AF does feel good and it's amazing how quickly our bodies and minds realize it! Now, why we tend to foget that after a while, I will never understand. Cher, the wedding I have next weekend will be a short vacation as well. I am scared but the person I am going with knows me WAY to well, and will not let me fall. He said if I even try, he will leave me there!! lol Dew, I will check out the Sept Challenge. Thanks for the invite!

Good luck at the wedding! I am so early at this and terrified of my first AF social event, but it will be such a milestone to get through it, right? Congrats on your good work so far. Keep it up.

            Dear Tired,
Best of luck to you. Today is my first day here, and I've decided I'll try to cut down drinking slowly. Am afraid of DT's or anything bad. I am going to try Baclofen, as I already have it for another medical condition. I'm too embarrassed to tell anyone (even my husband) how much I drink nightly and that I have a problem. Maybe we can do this together. This website seems like just the support I can use - am hopeful it will work for you, too ---- and ALL of us!

Hi Tired it was good to see you on the September thread this morning. I find it has really helped me to stay on track working towards 30 days AF. And a big warm :welcome: to Mamacita!! It helps to read and post about how everyone deals with the days. Good luck to you guys on the path. I look forward to getting to know you
