Birthday hangover
Drank on Sat as it was my birthday after being AF for 28 days. Had hangover yesterday but kept going. Really noticed it in the evening though when I started getting really tired, agitated and unable to deal with all the little Sunday night chores to do before the start of the week. Knock on effect to Monday being shambolic. Think I'm realising I don't actually have time for drinking then hangovers. So many more little things that start to be done when you're not fighting it out with alcohol which leads to less stress which is one of the reasons I drink

Birthday hangover
Hey Mojo - finding out we don't have time to drink or have hangovers is a good place to be, when I quit I stupidly thought I wouldn't know what to do with all the extra time I had from not drinking! Duh! Now of course Im amazed I wanted to spend so much of my life either drinking or dying..... Wishing you much strength my friend."In the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer ."

Birthday hangover
Fighting AL is a real learning curve, I'm discovering. Since finding this site less than a month ago, it's been accelerated learning. I just learned something from your experience Mojo, so thanks for that post. I usually have to work things out the hard way, but hopefully I can apply your experience without having to go through another disgusting hangover.:h Mish :h

Birthday hangover
One of my favorite quotes while I was putting together an inspiration file said,
"But what will I do with myself?"
"Everything."
Almost half my waking life in the last 10 years was spent drinking or recovering from drinking. Never in my active, engaged young adulthood would I have imagined myself getting to that point. I couldn't stand people that "let themselves" get that way. Fast forward 20 years and I was an alcoholic drug and alcohol researcher. Hah! (to quote IAD).
Gather that time you have back to yourself and give it a big hug, mojo. A little wisdom like that and a lot of sober, and you're there. ~xoxo PrideAF since July 15, 2010. :applouse:
