Will the drink make you feel less like s**t Angel, or more? That's the dirty trick of it. Get some rest, or take a walk, okay? xoxo Pride
ps: look at your mood icon. Next to "sober" is smiling; in your post, next to "drink" is crying. Think about it! Big hug.AF since July 15, 2010. :applouse:

I've having cravings today too so i'm off to an AA meeting at 6.30. I've had a few down days this week too. I've found since last weekend cravings are coming on most days at anytime but if i cave in 'll feel worse tomorrow that i blew when at day 28 i'm soo close to my first 30 days. I'll be fine after the meeting and then i'll come home to a chicken curry i cooked earlier. Just have to boil rice. After eating a nice meal i won't want drink plus it will be after 8pm when i get home so cravngs and urge to drink should be gone. Thank God for this site and AA. Do somethng to take your mind of the urge to drink you will be glad tommorrow and at 24 days you are very close to 30 af.

Hi Angel:l
I feel you. I hope you can ride out the craving and stay strong. Just think how good it feels to be AF. You do NOT want to be where I was only 9 days ago. I gave in after 160 AF days. I felt so bad. Not just hangover bad...but mentally so disappointed in myself. The alcohol did nothing but bring on bad feelings. Please hang in there. We are all rooting for you :h
K9:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Hi Angel :l
What are you doing to get over the cravings? Are you working to your plan, maybe you need to change your plan? 24 days is a lot to throw away on a craving because you know something it will pass whether you have the drink or not. Try and stay strong and distract yourself somehow. One evening I was craving and it was raining heavy so I couldn't go out for a walk but I knew I needed to be active so I ended up running up and down the stairs (only 15 of them) in the house as fast as I could for about 10 minutes. I was knackered at the end of it and had forgotten about the craving. :H
Firefox 28 days is too much to lose at this stage but you have a good plan for the evening so I am sure you will be okay - just focus on the 30 days!
Hang in there both of you.
Dewdrop :hEnjoy today - there will be no other one quite like it....

24-28 days AF is the time when temptation hits REALLY hard. It did for me over Independance Day weekend. With support from friends (here and and where I live), I got through it. I followed the MYO program, supplements, exercise ,medication (for a couple of weeks) and the CD's. I would listen to the subliminal CD when a craving hit and it passed....

Hi Angel,
Cravings are beastly things aren't they....we can beat this beast, it is our addiction playing games with us.
You are so close the 30 days, think how wonderful you have been feeling. I can feel your positive through your posts, feed on that during these challenges

THANK YOU ALL Thank you all so much for your lovely kind posts. Really, from the bottom of my heart. (corny I know, haha) but I mean it. They really mean the world to me, as I know when you guys give encouragement it is truely meant as you understand exactly what it is like. Guess what?? I didn't drink!!! I feel quite proud of myself which is a strange feeling as I haven't felt proud in some time. You all give me so much hope and I am so glad I decided to post instead of drink. love you all xxCourage is not the absence of fear, it's acting in spite of it.
