Day 5 in the AF house!

    Hello All

I have posted on 'Tell us your story' but thought I'd pop over here.

I am on day five and this is what I like so far:

    - no hangovers
    - waking up in the morning and feeling awake!
    - great sleep
    - no worrying
    - clearer mind
    - eyes looking brighter
    - less bloat
    - being able to get in my car any time if I need a pint of milk or something
    - more energy

I have a horrible cold today but doubt it has anything to do with being AF!

Have a great sober Friday people :l

I got over the cleaning part (sadly), FG, but will second the joy of great sleep, clear eyes, and a clear head. :yay:

FG - Excellent progress! It's fantastic that you are keenly aware and making note of all the positives. Over time, you will continue to see more benefits of being AF (e.g. lower weight, better blood pressure) and ask yourself, what are the benefits of NOT being AF? I'm willing to bet it will be a much shorter list.

I was thinking that only yesterday as I was driving home.
I never drank and drove BUT I wonder if I was ever over the limit in the morning still...

                          hi,

I never drank and drove but one Sunday morning a short while ago after "a few" the night before a car hit mine whilst I was driving, the driver admitted liability however I was so afraid and paranoid (something that I would not of been had I not over indulged the night before I made sharp exit home and could not drive for the next 3 days! and torturing myself with thoughts about how it could of been so much worse.
I told myself I would never be in that situation again.

16 days A/F. :thanks: To all of you.

I'm glad you were OK Bungle. Just shows, even if you are driving carefully, you can't trust the other idiots on the road! Like you say, it's nice to KNOW you would be fine if tested now. x
