Anon, I've been feeling a bit dumpy too. Maybe it's the upcoming holidays? I can cheer you up, though. Go to Laughing Out Loud and see my most recent post: Mona Lisa After a Month in the USA!

        Sober NOvember Challenge

Morning you shower of lazy lumps WHERE IS THE NOV SQUAD!! Think I'm going to get Techie in here girls if youse aren't careful!!!! Sorry you feeling a bit down Anon and Chooch - Anon, I really identify with the feeling sad, it just hits out of the blue alright, important to remember it just goes as quickly and - most important - it's normal, normal non-alkie people also get to feel 'sad' for no reason. In your case Anon I wonder could it to be with all the build up to the big race and now it's over it has left a bit of a 'vacancy' in your life maybe? Chooch - could it be the hols for you?

Anyway, I had 'christmas' yesterday. We had the best of best days. All my young people were in great form - the usual 'inhouse' bickering, but all very harmless - just the 2 eldest arguing about absolute rubbish - they got so heated and then pulled crackers, put on hats and settled in with pavolva cheese and crackers and port. I loved the day, lovely sober christmas!! Good practice for the real thing. Oney, if you're reading, thought you'd enjoy this - next month I'll be having my 3rd sober Christmas in 13 months:H:H
Hope everyone is happy and sober - can't imagine life any other way now, this is so worth it isn't it!! Will check in later
        Molly

3 SOBER CHRISTMAS DAYS Fabulous Molly and all in 13 months even more fabulous! Have a wonderful Boxing day in Ireland.:goodjob:

Hi Oney I hope all is well with you--You always make me chuckle.
Hi Choocie,Wagoneer,Limers,Getting happy and a big hello to all else to come today

Miserable Anon here in Merseyside but still sober although I did think feck it last night lets have a bottle of wine but decided that would be so stupid and would add to the misery.

Anyway I am not putting up with it so I am going to get my arse into gear and do something positive--Not sure what though as my back is aching so exercise is out which is my favourite mood enhancer.

Just a thought maybe I am miserable 'cos I am in pain I have got so used to it with all my broken bones I never think of it as a reason for sadness usually I think it is a punishment for my drinking--You would never guess I was brought up Catholic would you?:H

Here she comes Mrs Naggity Nag

It's SHOUT OUT SUNDAY. So Team November show of hands on the Shout Out thread.

Calculate duration between two dates – results

Anon, me darling sober and grumpy or as me Granny says a 'bit out of sorts' is a squillion times better than drunk and grumpy.

Molly, you obviously didn't hear me ringing the door bell above all the noise. Yes that little sad face at the window was me.

Have a cracking Sunday everyone, because I sure intend to.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

                THANKS JC
Off for a walk getting dressed and coming on this site has improved my mood.

Working out my sober time as opposed to my AF time it is 71 days. I forget what date it was that I had my 2 slips but on both occasions remained sober so I have decided it is 71 days sober today and I am going to celebrate by having a nice walk and guess what? As I write this the sun has come out!!!

Happy Sunday all! DAY 14 FOR ME! Whoooopeee! Watched Toy Story 3 with the family last night - was a blubbering idiot by the end. And not wine induced! Great movie - hit so close to home with me looking at colleges for my eldest. The city was very noisy last night and the local drug dealers seemed to have a wonderful time until 3:30 in the morning. I couldn't imagine if we lived in a actual BAD part of the city. Oy. Going to church, then the market, then chores. Looking forward to a wonderful day - hope everyone is well. (((((((Hugs to all of you!))))))))

I was just on Day 1 and, blink, it's day 16! Just get through the first couple days and it will get better and better! Anon and Choochie, be easy on yourself and the blues will pass. You've both been so busy. Anon, I didn't know you had a different Christmas. We live by Canada and I know they already had Thanksgiving. Do you have a Black Friday shopping day after Thanksgiving also? Wagoneer, you really will get used to the college thing, my son left early this morning to get back for BB practice. And guess what? No tears! It just makes it so fun when they do come home. Feeling good today! A few days ago I was having a little wine to calm my nerves at this time of the morning. No Kidding! Hard to believe already!! Have a perfect day everyone! :h:h:h:h
