      I am sitting here with a smile on my face as just last night I was thinking maybe I should get a stud in my nose and here's Molly getting one, good for you girl Did it hurt??

      sober Friday and busy weekend ahead but no fear of being tempted...quick check in before starting my whirlwind of a day.

            Hey I just realized that this is actually DAY 12, not 11! Jeez, my brain isn't even pickled anymore and I still can't remember crap! Guess it takes a while for those brain cells to regenerate... lol

                Hi all I'm HOME!! How's everyone - more important, where's everyone?? Peace, the nose thingy bloody did hurt - but it's worth it, I love it!! Thought hubs would think I was ridiculous, but he says he loves it! Had a great couple of days with daughter. We shopped till we dropped, and am exhausted now. Hope you're enjoying a nice peaceful weekend Limers - how did your young lads interview go?
                Night to all, have to get a good nights sleep, doing 'christmas' for daughter tomorrow - picking up turkey and ham 8 AM so will be a very busy day!

                  I know, I can't remember sheet but I am hoping in time we can replenish what we lost! I read on another thread how you said you would change after just one glass and I was the same.
                  My computer at home is having issues and I am at work so I'll check back in later on.

                    Just got caught up on reading the posts. Oney, I am also sorry about your uncle. I so wish your dad will eventually find peace with this. It's a terrible tragedy for anyone to endure; estranged or not.

                    And Amen to a sober Christmas and being able to remember EVERYTHING. If I stay strong this will be the best holiday season in years, and I mean years!

                    Gotta get back to work. Have a great sober Friday everyone!

                      I am thinking that I feel pretty comfortable inviting extras to Thanksgiving dinner. I am usually a bottle of wine into it by dinner and I'm sure everyone noticed. Didn't think they did then. No one else will be drinkers either. My husband has to work at midnight, so that keeps it very safe. Getting excited for all the holidays, I hope they go great for all of us!!:danthin:

                          Good Morning Everyone - just checking in to say I'm still on board this fantastic sober NOvember and loving it. Had a beautiful 8 hour night's sleep - nothing better than that!

                          Wagoneer - sorry you had a bad night, maybe you can get in a nappy poo today? Way to go - day 13!!

                          GH, IFul (day 13 yea), Molly, Oney, Mr. G., SG, Dew, and all you other November cruisers, hope you're doing well.

                          Limers - just wanted to chime in on your flowing pink champagne story - what I do when I have this feeling of nostalgia watching others drink is - I just picture them as people with varying degrees of being on their way to having an alcohol problem. Sure, there are some who won't, but I think we'd be shocked at the number who would end up struggling to control their intake and who wake up feeling like hell most mornings!

                            Sober NOvember Challenge

                            Good Morning! It's Saturday here and might have the first snow today! Pretty. I'm sitting here with my kitty and yummy coffee, quite a different picture from 15 days ago! Choochie, you are right. If you can just think ahead about how good you will feel compared to the ones drinking, it can usually talk you out of stumbling. I have a niece that is soooo beautiful and sweet. I really worry about her drinking pattern. She will tell me about not remembering the last half of a night and we have talked about how my life has been throughout the years and I tell her "that isn't normal you know". She agrees. I just hope that she will realize this at her young age and just have it beat early on. Maybe God made me like this so I can help her. I hope so! Have a calm and wonderful day all of my November friends!!:l

                              GH - you sound so peaceful - I am really happy for you. Just wanted to comment about your niece. I too have a lovely niece 15 years younger than me and I'm subtly trying to tell her about the alcohol trap. It's really hard to watch others going down that path - I'd like to save her the grief!

                                hello all, had SAVAGE drinking thoughts last night and a few hours later had dreadful nausea , started throwing up and have been during the night and today as well, just got up and having a tea and feeling a bit better. Tell ya, im having no drinking thoughts now!!Must have picked up a tummy bug from the kids....I havnt been as sick in years! Anyhow, Molly delighted it went so well and Coochie I so agree and I did think that myself that some of them will overdo it, not me tho..lol
