:H:H does ANYONE ever pay on the Luas? I never have, daughter never has, and can never find anyone/anywhere to pay anyway!

      Sober NOvember Challenge

Afternoon everyone. Its sunny here but very cold. I don't feel so good today i have an upset tummy and i feel a it down also. Killiney hill is a lovely place to walk and great views from the top. Sorry to hear you got clamped neart i didn't know if that expensive for the fine 125 E? A few years i got on the Luas without paying as the station was packed and i couldn't find the pay machne or anyone to pay plus the luas had just arrved. It was just my luck that a inspector was checking tickets and i explained it my first time and could i give him the fare but he wudn't have it and i got a fine of 47e to paid within a month. don't use the luas that often but i won't take a chance like that again. To one still feeling a bit down it will pass. Might go for a walk later if i'm up to it. Happy monday all sorry i can't mention everyone i only read back so far.

          Sober NOvember Challenge

          Morning all,
Monday feeling down, finding it hard staying on track this time. Wish I could get a couple weeks behind me, the first few are mind busters, self loathing, disappointed in self.
          Well back to day one!
So glad I have u all to talk to!

Don't be sad Dextie, all we can ever do is keep trying and start over. Struggle through the first couple days and you will feel better. If you notice, quite a few of us are pretty new here! I am only on Day 17 now, but I was feeling just as blue two weeks ago. Life gets better quickly. Be easy on yourself and keep posting! We will all get you through the first days ok? It's a new Day! :happyheart:

Hi Everyone - just saying I'm still with you NOvember challengers! So great to be AF..........

Dextie, hang in! It gets easier. Can you tell us a little about what you're doing to stay AF? Maybe we can make suggestions that could help. Are you taking the L-Glutamine?

Have a super AF day everyone,

Dextie, hang on in there - remember, ODAT - try not to look too far ahead, or think too much about what's happened in the past. There's plenty of time for going over our actions in the past, but that can be done down the line. For now, just try to have a simple little plan for how you can best get through each day - like what you're going to eat, or if you'll get outside for a little walk each day, coming on here - whatever works for you - and how you'll handle a craving. We're here for you x
Firefox, sorry to hear you are feeling glum too - it's Monday blues today! Wow, its expensive to get caught on teh Luas too!

I am going to get out for a walk in a little while, as the sun is shining here. Hi to everyone else

ps Molly we can have an Alcoholics-and-eaters-of-too-much-Turkish-Delight-and-non-payers-of-Luas Thread, perhaps? Provisional title

Feeling much better now. So great to be back to feeling content I think I sometimes do not connect properly with my feelings and expect when bad things happen to me it it is not ok to feel sad and depressed.

Dextie hang on in there just take it one day at a time and try to not feel disheartened by looking back try to live in the moment!

Irish lot you are going to have to give the interpretation of Luas!!

Off to cook nice garlicky meal for dinner and BTW I LOVE TURKISH DELIGHT. My son in law is in Dublin today so I will find out what the Luas are as I have already sent him a text asking for the meaning.

Dextie, me darling, have a look through some of your early posts when you were 9 days AF and see how good you felt. Honestly if I'd got it right 1st, 2nd, 3rd time I wouldn't be here.

Do you know what triggered it? How will you avoid it if it happens again? Have you ever done the pros and cons of drinking list?

Well this weekend me and Mr JC have managed to start using the Wii. So far I've been beaten at clay pigeon shooting, ice hockey, picking pairs and some weird shape game. But I've beaten him at fishing and pool. We're no spring chickens the pair of us but we have laughed like drains. Would highly recommend for the down in the dumps blah feeling.

I've been to Dubbers and have absolutely no idea what the Luas is but I do know what Turkish delight is. Pass me a bit please.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

                      Hi everyone,

Had a very busy, wonderful weekend and still AF

I am feeling withdrawn and blah, I know why and not wanting to drink through this stressful time is great. I probably won't be here as regularly as I am the type to cocoon when I am dealing with shite.

The Luas is the light rail thingy around Dublin city - Luas means "speed" in Irish! Limers, I read the first book and really liked it - must get the others. Peace, hope you're doing ok? Anon, what did you have for dinner? I love garlic! Just been hunting around the house for my box of Jaffa Cakes, think big brother ate them over the weekend while I was away - again - grr. JC - I played tennis on the wii on the weekend - good fun!

                              Well off to bed,
good to have all of u!
Bought l-glutamine today, does it help.
Thinking about what trigger the drinking, cannot really pinpoint 1thing . Guess I will have to dig deep.
Great idea about writing pros and cons. I am going to get a journal tomorrow.
I kind of think alot of people around me wanted their drinking buddy back!
                              Night all
