      Sober NOvember Challenge

Irish economy is and has been headline news over here for weeks. Sounds like if you get a new government they will have to sort out the mess and yes they might be faffing around so much they will forget to sack you Molly.

So glad you are back on track Limers and enjoyed Harry Potter. I like cringe free December.

Hiya Neart I am also having strange cravings for booze though I think you got rid of your "sure what harm" more efficiently than I did. Still struggling today thinking how I missed out on the celebration in the pub yesterday after the race.

Hello, Choocie our positive and always optimisic poster, also Dewdrop I am coming to do a marathon in Fort William in April. Do you live anywhere near that area? I have heard there are some big hills there!! HA HA. Hi Oney I love your surreal and uplifting posts.

Thanks for the pm JC will send you a picture soon. Thanks for your encouragement.

Wish I could get my head around this craving stuff. I have done the craving thread to death but the only thing that seems to work is brushing my teeth as Molly once suggested!

Sorry to moan but seems so at odds when I have just won a race that was so tough and I feel so proud of myself (is that showing off?) and yet I think i could have just one drink! What a lie---:upset:

US economy is really bad too, guys, so you are not alone! Crazy, complicated world we live in.

Just wanted to chime in to say I like Limers' Cringe Free December too.:l Maybe we could also post tips on how to keep it cringe free.

          Anon,

WELL DONE on your HUGE achievement! Its FANTASTIC!

I know you are struggling with cravings hon, but it DOES get easier, I promise you that, besides, if you had gone to the celebrations in the pub last night..how would it have turned out? Would you have had "just one drink" to celebrate? Or would you be feeling hungover and sick now, disgusted at yourself for giving in and losing your AF time.

Good call that you didn't go, it was hard, but you did it, another feather in your bow....Fair play!!

:hallo:Just got back from shopping for Thanksgiving stuff. Boy I sure noticed how much money you save by not buying liquor for the holiday. No Tom and Jerry brandy or beer or eggnog. Saved a bundle and noticed that I must've been the one to instigate the drinking because my husband didn't even mention that we were forgetting anything. I guess everybody is silently going to go along with my soberness. Maybe I really was a bother on holidays. I'll take the hint!:whatspoint: Anyway, hope everyone is warm and happy today. Cleaning with the fire going, day off, and cuddling my :cat::lilheart: Whatever we call December, I hope it goes as well for us as Nov.

                Sober NOvember Challenge

Hi guys just checking in. I had a meltdown last night but didn't crave AL or smokes for the first time when so emotional. Small victory for me. I'm taking today very slow because I feel disoriented.

Anon, you did such an outstanding job in your race and saying no to going to the pub after. These cravings are so sneaky. One thing you know is once they pass, (and they always do) you just feel better and don't have any shame or guilt to deal with if you've caved. I bet you'll feel better in a couple of days.

I'm not sure what the name for December should be but all of the suggestions are ones that inspire me.

                Take care everyone,
                Choice

I felt tired next day and disappointed, but just wanted to get back to it, not drinking. Im buying my new mattress for my christmas pressie and an electric blanket and intend to have lots of heavingly early night, reading in my warm bed listening to the wind/rain/snow! Divinity!!
Started my essay, got a good intro written, just need to beef it all up tomorrow.

Well it's a quick hi & bye from me too guys, I don't know where this evening has gone. I've been pottering about, on the phone to a friend for an hour and checking out some things online for crimble pressies.

I'd better get off to bed or I'll be sorry in the morning - I'm glad to see the back of a wet and windy Monday. Hope you are all good.
