    Sober NOvember Challenge

Thanks Molly I was just thinking I was the worst Mum in the world!

Glad i have not caved in today as it was very tempting to just open a bottle and hide away. Bloody alcohol tries to get us anyway it can.

Ireland is all over the news and so sorry for what is happening there. My son in Law is there on Tuesday. I will tell him to spend loads of money!!:H

Cold ,cold here but temperature is rising here as I am getting more cross with having a houseful staying with me for another week. It is not the little ones but the grown up chidren that are driving me mad. Washing machine going non stop , we keep running out of food etc. etc. I have even given up my bed!!

Oh well at least I am sober but this could drive me to drink!!:upset:

                    Sober NOvember Challenge

                    Hi all,

Well I have had the laziest Sunday ever, I?ve been in bed most of the day reading and lurking on the laptop, eating whatever I fancied and being a pig. It?s probably the first day like that since I stopped drinking and I feel great no guilt whatsoever.

Anon I feel for you, I don?t mind visitors for a night or possibly two but would be tearing my hair out in your situation. Limers when my two were teenagers we ended up taking in one of their pals when his folk divorced and he was with us for about a year off and on. Don?t want to alarm you but maybe you should just check out his expectations as he clearly has made himself at home!!!!

It has been a dreadfully cold and snowy day, the wind is up now and we had a huge thunder and lightening storm in the afternoon ? quite scary and the cat has been hiding under the bed all day. The snow is knee deep outside in the garden and the roads are treacherous, I think the forecast is for more as well. I am supposed to be flying to London on Tuesday until Thursday night so I am hoping it is cancelled. I hate traveling when it?s like this incase I get stuck and can?t get home.

                    Dewdrop :h

                            Sober NOvember Challenge

Hi everyone! I seem to be checking in every couple of days at teh moment, not quite up to speed on everything so sorry! Molly, glad to hear you are managing the situation - re: advice your counsellor gave you - I find it takes quite a while and many attempts to fully put these new skills into practice - maybe you just need to review each time and see how you could manage better the next time? That's what I do anyway - or try to Like with the lack of a job here - sometimes when I get panicked, I have to remind myself that panicking won't change the situation, and I give myself a few minutes to be mad, then I start my relaxation techniques! Doesn't work every time, but I'm getting better at it (i think).
Dewdrop, glad you had a lazy day - sounds divine! Limers fair play on the Christmas shopping-i've not even started!
All's going well here, snowed in but boyfriend made it down from Dublin yesterday for the night so was happy out. We're supposed to be going to London next saturday so fingers crossed the airports will be open!

Hi Neart, not too much snow here but still frigging freezing!! I'm in bed with liquorice allsorts and an apple, hubs is pissing me off this weekend, it's like he is back to being 'Mr Grumpy' like he was when I was drinking. I found myself thinking for a minute 'if he's going to be like this anyway I might as well........' nearly died when I realised the end of that sentence - I am so much stronger than that now, but he is being a pain in the arse. Glad you still loved up Girl and hope you make it to London, won't be a prob I'd say, the only prob usually is when the weather just hits but we've had it for a week so you'll be grand!
Limers, I've never been to La Stanza, must have a look sometime, looks very luxurious !
Still stuck for my grown up boys presents, and one of them has a birthday as well, so any advice would be welcome for a 27 and 28 yr old men (boys - can't think of them as men)???
Night to all anyhow, see you tomorrow

                                Sober NOvember Challenge

                                Morning everyone,

I'm snowed in and working from home - Yaaahhhooo. It's quite bad around here and the roads are treacherous so I'm not going anywhere unless I need to. The snow plough had been clearing the main road and has dumped a great load of snow at the end of my road so even if I manage to dig my own bit out there is a mountain of snow to dig out after that. Think I'll just wait until it melts

                                Where is everyone today

                                Dewdrop :h
