    Oh John,
    By the way :welcome:

Absolutely completely normal, so don't be worried. I remember when I did my detox it was about day 5/6 when I started to feel like a human being. I was advised to treat myself as if I had flu. Be kind to yourself, keep drinking the fluids and taking the vitamins. This will pass.

Believe me I know this is horrible.

:goodjob: on your 4 days. This is so worth another couple of days.

    Take care of yourself.

It's normal for some people John but you need to be careful and look after yourself.
A visit to your doctor wouldn't be a bad idea.
I didn't have much in the way of withdrawal symptoms but taking water, little and often, is always good.
These feeling will pass soon and you WILL feel so much better.
      Stick at it my friend.

John, with that chest thing thrown in there it sounds like you may just be a little sick. When I started to get sober I was amazed at how hard a cold would hit me - I thought being healthier I wouldn't get sick like that. Then I realized it was just a normal cold it's just that I used to be more hung over than ill in the morning and more drunk than sick in the afternoon. Hang in there, you'll get over what ever you have a lot quicker and feel so much better in a couple of days. You can do it!

Hi John - hope you are feeling better soon. I had a bit of a cold thing as well a few days ago when I cut out the wine - sinus, chest etc. I took some stuff here in the states called Mucinex and it helped. Doesn't make you feel tired, etc. Stayed away from the Nyquil because all that is is booze disguised as medicine. I think I have awoken with the most severe hangover a few months back when I drank a few glasses of Cab when I was sick then followed up with a shot of Nyquil to sleep....holy crap. What a mess. This last time I felt a bit ill, I drank a ton of green decaf tea, vitamins and tried to get as much sleep as possible. As much as my kids would allow of course.. You seriously need to rest to get your body in recovery mode. Hope you feel better very very soon!
