    2 Months clean and going good

    Just thought id pop in and say hello as I haven't been on for a while...
    I have started seeing a counselor that deals with addiction which is helping me out a great deal. I have been going to AA meetings but still not sure if they are for me or not.....

    Oh yeah today is 2 Months since I have had a drink....

      They have lessened but still there. Im noticing the little things that werent there before. My general mood has gone up and I have been told it to.

                      That's excellent, Flip Top! I found it ironic that a big part of my drinking was staving off anxiety, yet I find myself less anxious sober.

                      Have you tried beta blockers for situations that make you panicky?

                              That is great news, Flip Top!! Two months is awesome :goodjob:

                              I see an addictions counselor, too. She is helping me see this through new eyes (when I first came to her I was in AA and she actually encouraged me to do what I think is best for myself, and if AA did not resonate with me, then that was fine with her. She said there are "a million different ways out of this." When I was in AA, I felt like I was being programmed to be something or someone I might not otherwise become, if that makes any sense. I didn't want it to be "my" story...fine for other folks, but it was a relief to be told that "it's NOT the only way." As is clear by what we see here.

                              Keep up the good work. Whatever you are doing, it IS working :thumbs:
