Day 7 (plus a counter for you all)

Hey.... still here, been busy but now at day 7.

Strangely dont have an impulse to drink or a NEED to drink, it doesnt seem to be hitting me in an addictive form, where the problem is with me is what to do instead of drinking.

I get so BORED and LOST when its my drinking time, thats when i struggle to find things to do, but if inclined, i just think of some shocking hangovers and it seems to put me off.

Found this, here Alcoholics Anonymous Grapevine.org you put your date in and get it in days. Its ok, but sure theres a resident desktop one available somewhere, i have one that counts down to a date which would be awesome if it counted up... bugga

Anyone got a better day counter prog?

    All best to you all.

Calculate duration between two dates – results

Ronker I didn't check out your counter but here is one - you can see if it's better.

Good job on your AF days - go for a walk, cook, read, watch tv, do a puzzle, write down all the reasons you don't want to drink, write down all the things that are better by not drinking.

    Hugs,

      :goodjob: Ronker !!

Day 7 is a biggie!!! Keep up the good work. I'm glad your not craving, I didn't either... some do, some don't. Pretty much everyone relates to what to do during the "witching hours".... so there is lots of good suggestions of what to do with ourselves. In the early days when I could get out of bed, I think fresh air did me wonders. Take care of yourself and do something nice for yourself. :l

Thanks Coochie, looked at that one, but you need to keep putting dates in. The countdown one on same page is similair to what i have on desktop to countdown days to an event.

Would be good if we c0uld have one on desktop that just counts up so at anytime you can see how many days you are at.

Hi Ronker! Congrats on 7 days AF!! :yougo: You are off to a good start!

I like the calculator you linked! Here is another one. I like the feature where it estimates the number of sober heartbeats you have. AA History Sobriety Calculator

Strength and hope to you in your AF journey!

            DG
            Sobriety Date = 5/22/08
            Nicotine Free Date = 2/27/07

            One day at a time.

thanx that one looks best so far, as it saves on the 2nd click so you just need to go there and see, and not have to plug in dates each time.
